NEWSLETTER, #3 (April 2008)
Dear Colleagues,
As I write this Newsletter we are only 8 weeks away from the
commencement of the 11th Annual Congress of the MSA at Leuphana
Universität in
I. CONGRESS PROGRAM
On March 30th Rick Clement sent you an e-mail regarding the Congress Program. Please reference that e-mail and review the list of sessions found on the MSA website - www.mediterraneanstudies.org. This is your opportunity to make corrections and/or recommend changes. You should communicate these matters directly with Rick at Rclement@ku.edu no later than April 15.
II. AIRPORT TRANSPORTATION
We continue working to serve as many
transportation requests from the Hamburg Airport to Lüneburg as possible. It is
not an easy task, but Louise Boudreau is making excellent progress. Here is
where matters stand at present with the greatest demand being on Tuesday, May 27.
Using a large coach to make one trip to the airport is not practical since your
arrivals are scattered across the day on Tuesday. Consequently, we will have a
9 passenger mini-bus to make multiple airport trips on Tuesday. For those of
you who have sent us your flight arrival time we have assigned you a seat.
