Dear MSA Colleagues,

Mediterranean Studies Association update status for the 22nd Annual MSA Congress at the University of Crete in Rethymnon, Greece, May 29 – June 1, 2019.

Nearly 100 proposals have already been received and the Program Committee will will continue to accept proposals until the February 1, 2019 deadline. It will however be greatly appreciated by the Program Committee if you can make your submission as early as possible. Also, please note the Early Registration Fees also remain in effect until February 1.

Many of the Post Tour hotel rooms have been taken. I was able to obtain three additional rooms at the Kydon Hotel in Chania, so we now have eight rooms remaining for the Post Tour, please register soon if you plan to join the tour. Complete details and Registration Forms can be found on this MSA website. Please note the Educational Post Tour will commence in Rethymnon and end in Heraklion.

A reminder that the Kriti Beach Hotel will be the Headquarters Hotel where the coach will be available every morning for transportation to the University, and where the Saturday night MSA Reception will be held. The Kyma Suites and Aquila Hotels are very nearby and also have excellent rooms available. Please identify yourself as a participant in the MSA Congress to obtain the special congress rate at these hotels. For those looking for less expensive hotels, you will find some less expensive hotels on the MSA Website.
