Chinchón is one of the most picturesque and best-known towns in Spain. The town of Chinchón was declared a Historical Site in 1974, with a history going back to Roman times. Located 45 km from Madrid, Chinchón is an old town surrounded by vineyards and olive groves and has an iconic plaza mayor.
“Chinchón has a tower without a church and a church without a tower,” goes the popular saying. For many years the famous painter Goya lived in the town. Chinchón is also famous for its beautiful Parador where we will spend the night. It is in the 16th century Convent of San Agustín.
